He emailed me to say he's spent way too much on a coat ..lol...the trouble is that we don't have a bitterly cold Winter here...we may have the odd morning of 1 deg C but chilly here is 14 or 15 degC....so when he says it's freezing it really is. Two of the boys left here in shorts and T shirts so I can imagine how much shopping they've had to do.....hopefully the Pound /$Au is good value at the moment.
They've been out and about sight seeing so they're okay.
Thanks...my SIL was pleased and apparently the cake was getting quite a bit of attention in his office..lol.. Now I'm back to cleaning this house and doing all the things that I've let slide over the past few days.
.....I know the feeling It's so annoying that you still have to keep up with everything, or work like mad to keep up. ...I really wouldn't know what a day off or weekends are.....still it keeps us active
Yes my Son and 3 friends are on holiday....using London as their base for a month. He was there in the Summer and toured the Greek Islands and Italy. One of his friends is a teacher and couldn't take holidays then so he's gone back to have another holiday. He only arrived yesterday and tells me it's freezing!!...he's gone shopping for warmer clothes this morning.
Bless....I could have told you that ....it doesn't seem to be getting any better. It snowed a bit yesturday, and has been wet, cold and miserable....just like it usually is this time of year! Still, when your young and on holiday, the weather doesn't seem that bad.
We knew that it would be 'cold' but our cold is far warmer..lol...he emailed to say he's bought a jacket and paid way too much but I know it will be worth every cent by the time he's gone up to Sweden and surrounding countries. They are also following some soccer/football matches so they'll be out in the elements I reckon ...but having a whale of a time...apparently..
